Signac. Symphony of Colours • Kunsthal Rotterdam: Loan to Museum
Kunsthal Rotterdam (The Netherlands) presents Signac. Symphony of Colours, a major exhibition dedicated to Paul Signac, a central figure of Neo-Impressionism and a pioneer of modern color. Bringing together landmark paintings, watercolors, and drawings, the exhibition traces the development of Divisionism while highlighting Signac's profound influence on several generations of artists.
Work on loan: Among the works assembled for the exhibition, the Kunsthal presents The Jetty at Flessingue (La Jetée de Flessingue, 1896), an oil on canvas lent through Galerie de la Présidence. In this luminous harbor scene, Signac orchestrates a subtle symphony of color in which atmosphere, shimmering reflections on the water, and the rhythm of carefully placed brushstrokes combine to create a vision of the landscape that is as radiant as it is musical.
Organized in collaboration with the Museum Barberini in Potsdam, Signac. Symphony of Colours offers an exceptional immersion into Paul Signac's artistic world and underscores the enduring significance of his exploration of color, one of the most important contributions to the advent of artistic modernity.
